Kimberly Arellano

Artist Statement:

My art centers around women’s rights and mental health, delving into issues that often remain unspoken. I strive to bring light and awareness to the challenges women face, creating pieces that make women feel seen, understood, and empowered. Through my work, I hope to open conversations, spark reflection, and contribute to a world where women’s experiences are acknowledged and valued.

Artist Bio:

I am an artist currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Art at New Mexico State University (NMSU). My journey began at a community college in El Paso, where I first developed my passion for art. I started my career at the International Museum of Art in El Paso and now collaborate with the art museum in Las Cruces. Although I began working with acrylics, I have since evolved into a multimedia artist, incorporating clay 3D pieces into my paintings. I’m also expanding my skills by exploring oil painting and clay work, blending various techniques to create meaningful, culturally rich pieces
